Sort of BR: Can someone check my math for Miralax dosage?

We leave on our vacation tomorrow. I just bought the individual serving Miralax packets to bring on the plane with us. I'm trying to figure out the dosage in the packet since DD usually gets 3 teaspoons of Miralax 3 times a day. 1 packet = 17 grams. 17 grams seems to be the same as 1 capful of the jarred stuff of Miralax. From what I can tell, 1 capful of Miralax = 1 tablespoon. 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon, correct? So 1 packet would be the equivalent of 1 of DD's doses then, yes?

Sorry for the dumb question - I was standing in the aisle of the pharmacy for a good 10 minutes trying to figure this out!

  • I would recommend skipping the math and just spoon a daily serving into a ziplock snack bag.  Pack enough of the pre-filled bags for your stay plus a couple extra just in case.  That's what I ended up doing for myself when I packed my hospital bag for L&D.  I was tempted by the packets, but they were more expensive than the bottle so I decided to save my $.
