Yes I know I may get flamed for this but...I LOVE KG's hair (kate gosselin)
BUT am terrified to go that short. Any moms out there with shorter hair with a style? Care to share? I have medium length right now . a little passed my shoulders. i need it shorter. I have such THICK hair. I just want to be able to either spend a.) 10 minutes straightening it. or b.) put a dab of product in and go! I am getting it cut tonight. any suggestions?
Re: any moms with shorter hair?
As a nestie friend, I say..... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! That was in style when I was in college... think 2000.
I like the dos Katie Holmes has been sporting. I just think KG's is too wackadoo in the back (spikey thing she does). She hasn't changed it in years. time for a new do.
I've had a few short dos.... I got one right after ds was born... super short, pixie. I have a lot of hair. it was easy, I just got up, rubbed some hair wax in my hands and fluffed it up. I've done the tons of layers/border pixie but w/ the flip in the back... but that's not really in anymore either.. it was easy though. I've done longer in the front, soft stack in the back. For me, that became a pain b/c I had to blow it dry or flat iron it b/c of a few wild areas. funny how you get wave after dc are born. I've been growing it out a bit ... not really on purpose.Don't go the KG route. She looks like a crazed peacock!
What about something more like Victoria Beckham's bob? Kind of the same idea but without the wacky back...

yeah, Victoria Beckham's hair is less wild, more put together. I think KG just has the spike down to a science... that or her hair automatically does that now.
My hair hasnt' been past my chin in AGES. (But I'm a "no long hair once you hit 20" person.
Longer in front with funky layers in the back can work well. I'm not into spikes though.
I say go for it! Short is the new long.
