The practicing of the "S" and "Sh" sound

cracks me up. She has been walking around all week repeating me when I say "sit, shirt, etc..."  But of course, it sounds more like "shiiit" than anything else. Hysterical.

  • That's hilarious!

Quentin sounds like he is saying something else when he tries to say "truck". I was about ready to question my BIL who cusses like a sailor until I realized what he was actually saying! ?

  • NNO-my nephew said the word other than truck for almost 2 years.  no manner of correcting, teaching, leading could get the boy to say TR instead of F.  rather amusing, really, 2 year old telling his mom loudly in the toy store that he wants a ?uck.  well, not for my sister, but still kind of funny.
  • Dh will love me for this...  MIL told me when he was little they lived near a fire station, every time the sirens went off she said he ran to the window screaming FIRE F---  repeatedly.  Also my oldest brother asked Santa for a big red dump truck, but it sounded like he asked for a big red dumb f---  My mom said she was beyond embarrassed.

DD says Oscar (one of our cats) although the first few times I was thinking she was saying "Oh shiit"

  • My DD is doing this too!  She's learning how to say shoe, but when she says it over and over it totally sounds like shiit.  She also was trying to say fish, and was making the fa and fu, sounds over and over again.  Lovely LOL
