DS is still sick

He had his 3rd round (day 2 of 7) of meds this morning, Motrin, Tylenol, and he still has a fever. It was 102.4!

I am waiting for the nurse to call me back...he has had this fever since tuesday night. How long is too long, and how high of fever is too high??

I'm exhauted and poor DS!

I don't know about the fever question, but am hoping he feels better soon.  HUGS!

i don't know the answer to your question but you might try a bath. that always breaks a fever for DS when medicine is taking too long to bring it down.

Sometimes fevers can last a whole week. Fevers are actually a good thing, it means his body is fighting the infection. As long as you see the fever react to the tylenol [go down even if just a tiny bit] it's ok. Baths help a lot! Put him in warm water whenever his fever spikes.

Can you tell we've had a lot of fevers? It's not fun at all. Make sure to call the nurse whenever you're unsure about anything. Hope the fever breaks soon!
