Don't really know the host of one of my showers

I have a work shower coming up on Aug 16th. My problem is, that I don't really know the girl good enough to know what to get her as a thank you gift. We've never hung out and I only know her from work. What is a safe gift to get someone like this?

I know it's generic, but what about a gift certificate? is there any place you talk about going to at work? Food, shopping, etc. Or, I always love stuff from Bath and Body or Victoria's Secret Beauty. Then, if she doesn't like the smell she can trade it with ease.

Maybe a giftcard to someplace a lot of people in your area go to (Starbucks, Target, Kohls, etc) or you could always get her a small flower arrangement.  It's something that doesn't "stick around" for a long time.  :-)
