RP from last night: washing machine recs, please!

Our not-that-old-top-loading washing machine just stopped working. Obviously, I'll be calling a repair shop to come take a look at it, but part of me wants to buy a new front-loading machine anyway...

So, do any of you have a washing machine that you JUST LOVE that you would recommend?

    I can't say that I LOVE ours but it's "ok."  We have a GE pair.  I hear great things about the LG Tromm.

    I have the LG model number: WM0642HW. (I also have the matching dryer and feel the same way about it as the washing machine!)

    I LOVE it.  I love how it works and how it cleans better than my MIL's Whirlpool Duet and my mom's Frigidaire.  DH says that someday when we move he wants to leave the washer & dryer with the buyers, but I told him if we do that we have to buy the same ones over again because I am in love.
