Mom's of redheads

I just read about a mom of a redhead who wrote a book - 'Little Redheads Across America' that is full of cute pictures and info.  She has a website: www.littleredheadsacrossamerica.com  that looks like it's cute too.  Just wanted to pass the info along....didn't know our cute little ones were such an anomoly!

And while we're on the topic - if you have a redhead, what color are his/her eyes?  Erica has red hair and blue eyes.  People have told us that it's a strange combination.

It is a strange combination. The only redhead I know with blue eyes is my own (although he's more of a strawberry blond right now, but his eyebrows and eyelashes are still red). My BIL is a redhead, and he has brown eyes. I have a redheaded friend with green eyes, and her DD's (also a redhead) are hazel.

as a redhead with blue eyes, from a family of redheads with blue eyes, i always thought red with brown was weird and not the "norm".  *shrug*  kat's hair hasn't decided what it wants to do yet.

my DD currently has reddish blonde hair and blue eyes.  i dont think either will stick, but never know. 

i have known quite a few redheads in my life, and i think its been pretty half and half whether they have blue eyes or brown! its more unusual to me for them to have a darker complexion!

That's weird! I don't have a redhead, but I always thought they had blue eyes. Your DD is so pretty!

DD has red hair and green eyes.  I agree... I always thought that red/brown was a more unique combination than red/blue.

I have red hair & blue eyes and I am totally bummed that DD doesn't look as though she is going to have red hair, she is a blonde.

My DD has red hair (to me, more of a strawberry blond, but everyone else calls her a redhead) and blue eyes.  I don't see why this would be strange; they're both recessive genes that show up more often in very fair-skinned people.

I'm a redhead with hazel eyes. 

Right now DD is a blonde with eyes that are blue rimmed with hazel.  At her age I was a blonde, too.  So we're still holding out hope that she'll end up a redhead
