I know this was asked a few weeks ago, but I can't find the post. What crib mattress do you recommend? I recall everyone saying firm and there seemed to be a general consensus on which mattress everyone loved. I need to start writing things down!

we just have the $50 serta or sealy, whichever one target carries in store and it works great. I know there is one that's a little more pricey that has a firm side for infants and a softer side for toddlers which would be nice.

I have the Colgate Classica; it is a foam mattreess with great reviews in Baby Bargains.  A little more expensive than some other mattress, but you can use a 20% off BedBath&Beyond coupon for purchases at BuyBuyBaby or you can find them online a little cheaper.
