Hey ladies I hope everyone is having a great week Can you believe we have (or almost have) 9 month old babies???? How the heck did that happen?
Are you planning a big 1st day birthday party? If so what have you planned so far or what are you planning on doing for it?
What are some of your child's favorite foods currently?
What is one thing that you are struggling with?
What is one thing that you feel you are finally getting?
Have a great week!
Re: October Mommy Check-In
Seriously.... Sean is almost 10 months old!!! He is growing up SO fast. Walking, talking(has a particular word for dog and Yoda) and working on tooth #7&8.
I think I am in denial of his upcoming birthday... I have been avoiding actually planning anything. I just know it will be crazy for everyone. I really want to have a party, but I don't know what to do. I know I want to do a monkey theme... but anything else is pretty up in the air.
Sean LOVES organic cheese puffs, grilled cheese, apples, also any purees with meat in them. He has been teething the last few days so I think most of his table foods have ended up on me or the floor.
I am struggling with finding enough things for him to do in a day. I know that he is getting more and more active, but I don't live in the nicest of neighborhoods, and our neighborhood park isn't exactly safe so I am not sure how to let him play happily/safely outside the house.
We are finally making head way on the sleeping front. He is pretty much sleeping through the night. We have been fighting over naps but most day he has been taking two predictable naps. I haven't slept this good in over a year.

Are you planning a big 1st day birthday party? If so what have you planned so far or what are you planning on doing for it?
We are not planning a big 1st birthday party, probably just family and some close friends. I am going to do a monster theme for his birthday. I found these cute little monster guys and I am going to base the party around them.
What are some of your child's favorite foods currently?
Harrison loves yogurt and Cheerio's. He would live off of those if I let him.
What is one thing that you are struggling with?
I still struggle with the solids. Harrison is somewhat picky and I am always worried about balancing his diet. I feel like I don't read to him enough, but he hardly sits still when he is awake to listen to a story.
What is one thing that you feel you are finally getting?
Our bedtime routine is a snap, so we have gotten that down pat, but still workking on STTN every night.
Are you planning a big 1st day birthday party? If so what have you planned so far or what are you planning on doing for it? We are not sure what we are going to do yet. Our house sin't really big enough for an indoor party, and the end of Oct is iffy around here weatherwise... we shall see..
What are some of your child's favorite foods currently? Um, Maddie is our resident "dump truck"... she eats everything we give her. The only things she doesn't love are the things that she can't feed herself (yogurt and oatmeal)
What is one thing that you are struggling with? Formula intake. Some days, I'm lucky to get 1.5 bottles in, and she is supposed to have 3. And, being a teacher, I have loved being a part time SAHM mom for the summer... I am really upset about Sept, and I never thought I would get like that. I also have my usual struggle of maintaining the house... the crap piles seem endless...
What is one thing that you feel you are finally getting? Just being a mom in general... I love it more that I've ever loved anything....
Are you planning a big 1st day birthday party? If so what have you planned so far or what are you planning on doing for it? We are probably going to have a small party just family and close friends, we don't have a lot of family around. I'm not sure what I will do for a theme or anything else, guess I best start thinking.
What are some of your child's favorite foods currently? Sean loves his pears, avocado, and puffs. Recently he has begun refusing solids so I don't know what to do with him. He just started feeding himself well with the puffs.
What is one thing that you are struggling with? His naps, some days are great others aren't. I feel like I have to be at home for naptimes or its an awful day. I am also struggling with the lack of order the house is in, its a mess and its 3/4 baby proofed.
What is one thing that you feel you are finally getting? Sean is in a pretty decent routine, the times are always changing but I know when the bottle, solids, and naps should now be. Bedtime is solid.
