Yay, today I get to chug around a huge bottle of my pee all day, lol! After talking with DH and my mom, I realized that I should really be happy that my OB is being so proactive about this all. Although my b/p wasn't "high" and there was no protein my urine, she is just being cautious and putting the health of me and our LO first. SO, I am going to happily pee in that bottle all day!!
Question for those of you that had to do this: She mentioned keeping it in the fridge to prevent bacteria...does that mean keep it in there all day (only taking it out to add the pee) or just when your done at the end of 24 hours? TIA!
Re: 24 hour urine day!
Ah yes, the wonderful orange jug o' pee. Have fun with that. Did they give you a nice little potty hat you can pee in so you don't have to use a cup or something?
As for keeping it in the fridge, my Dr didn't mention that. I kept mine next to the toilet all day (I did it over a weekend) and the Dr didn't say anything about it. GL!

YES, I have the little potty hat, lol!! It would be so much easier to keep it next to the potty! Maybe I should call to clarify.
Yup, they told me to keep mine in the fridge until I brough it back to them. I did it several weeks ago because of my history with high bp - and I'll have to do it again so they can compare it. Cannot wait.
Oh man! Thank goodness I have the summers off to do this, lol!
When I first read what you wrote I thought you were saying you had to chug the pee!!!!!!! EWWWWWWWWW
Yes, you are supposed to keep it in the fridge and only take it out to add pee... it is SUPER fun to do at work.
I had to do several on hospital bedrest, and they kept the jug in an ice bucket in my room, so I am 100% you are supposed to keep it cold.
LMAO EWW!!! Thanks for the info though, I will keep it nice and cold, haha!
