Inspiration for today... "Why take my child"

Good morning ladies...  I hope you all enjoy the poem for today.  It sounds like something I could have written myself...

Verse...  "Christ Jesus; Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross."  Phillipians 2:5-8

Thought for today...  Experiences of what God has done for me are only stepping-stones; the one great note is - I trust in the Lord Jesus.  God's providence can do with me what it likes, make the heavens like brass, earth like hell, my body loathsome (as Job's was), but the soul that is trusting in Jesus gets where Job got, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust him"

Poem...

Why take my child, why not my cat?
I'm sorry God, but I'm angry about that.
Because I don't understand, why she had to die,
You've got my child, and all I do is cry.

Please let her be happy, in a wonderful land,
And being looked after, because I can't hold her hand.
She's not here to cuddle, when I shed a tear,
So please stroke her cheek, I can't reach her from here.

Please let her hear me say 'I love you', and I'll blow kisses,
And I'll trust you to guide them, so not a single one misses,
And when I come to heaven, when you choose my time too,
I'll see my little girl smile, and understand why you do what you do.

Thanks for this. It makes my day so much brighter. I have a hard time understanding the Verse and the Thoought for today sometimes, but I always try my best to understand. The poem was beautiful. And thank you =so= much for sharing that song with everyone on the board. I've been listening to it for the past week and I was hoping you would find it and share it with everyone.
