So I posted this picture on facebook in my belly album ... it is my 19 week shot.

 

Anyway, a friend of mine (who is also pregnant) commented on the picture.  "You look almost as pregnant as me and I'm 32 weeks!"

Seriously? Things you do not tell a pregnant woman ... that she is 13 weeks behind you and the same size you are! Geez. She did preface it with "Cute, cute, cute!" So I'm sure she was just trying to be nice ... lol But still. If I already look 32 weeks pregnant, I can't imagine what I'll hear when I AM 32 weeks pregnant!">

Okay you do not look 32 weeks pregnant!!!!! I dunno what your friend was drinkin but it was not milk!  I think your bump looks cute so don't worry!

If your friend looks like you at 32w pg, then she's the exception and not the rule. You look right on target to me.

I wish I had my 41w belly pic from DS... I seriously never looked hugely pregnant with him, so, in your friend's defense, maybe she just hasn't gotten that big! I swear I look almost as pregnant now already as I did at the end with DS. But you certainly don't look like the average 32w pregnant woman- you look great! No worries!

Yes, yes, I know, everyone is different.

But I know for sure that I was WAY bigger than that pic at 32 weeks.  If I was at home I'd post for you.

Maybe your friend is the type that doesn't show very much.

My mom saw my belly pic at 10 wks (bloat) and said that was as big as she was when she was 5 months along... And when I told her it was bloat, she asked if that was normal and if the doc seemed concerned about it... Oh, yeah, that's my mom...

Don't worry. You don't look 32 wks pregnant, you look beautiful! She may be one of those girls that don't show until the end, her baby was in a different position, etc, etc. Everybody is different, and some people just can't keep their comments to themselves!

Um yeah she is crazy, you look great! I wish I had pics of me 32 weeks pregnant on this computer, it would definitely put your mind at ease!

You look just right. Most 32-weekers are sporting the basketball shape, not the gentle arc you are working.

Regardless of her being under-sized or jealous, she is an idiot for even saying something like that. I hope being 32 weeks does not mean you lose all tact and common sense, or we are all in trouble.

haha Thanks ladies. I know she didn't mean it horrifically, it was just one of those moments where I had to stop and think, "Really? You're pregnant and you just told me that?" She hasn't posted any pictures on facebook, so I'm not sure if she's just a small showing gal or not, though that is clearly the case if we are the same size now.

Annnndd... thanks for all the comments. Definitely strokes the ego of the nauseated, overheated pregnant lady that I am.

You are so not alone! I sent a mass email with pics of the new sail boat my husband and I bought when I was 15.5 weeks along. I happened to be sitting in the boat in one of the pics, but I didn't send them out as baby bump pics, just pics to show the new boat. My SISTER hit reply all saying that I was "HUGE"! Worse yet I hadn't even told work yet and, again, SHE HIT "REPLY ALL"! I was still fitting in ALL of my clothes and had only gained 1.5lbs What is it with pregnant ladies causing otherwise normal people to say such idiotic stuff???
