I'm a horrible slacker parent!!

So far we've only moved furniture out of our old office/nursery. I've bought border paper (Winnie the Pooh) but we're keeping the royal blue/ cream paint even though it is a girl b/c I am so over painting rooms ( I just did my guest bath before I got pregnant). So my idea was to get a bunch of mod fabric with tree, animal, bird themes, and bring purples, and greens, and other girly accents into the room by making Fabric Panel squares. Have I started getting fabric? Nope, so far we have a glider rocker and that is it. That is the extent of my baby supplies. A glider chair and 3 rolls of Winnie the Pooh border paper. Eeep. Oh and we're not having any baby showers so I have to get all this stuff myself. I fail royally.

You still have sooooo much time!

We haven't done anything in the nursery other than clear out half of our furniture (the other half is still in there waiting to be moved to the spare room) and I have 10 weeks less to prepare than you do!

Um, I haven't even ordered furniture yet, or moved things out of the baby's room, or picked out anything for the nursery.

There's still a lot of time...you're not a slacker!

It is pretty early for you to be so hard on yourself.  There is still plenty of time to get the nursery ready.

But, you are still a LONG way off from having to have everything ready for your LO... Now, if you were 36 weeks, I would say you were a slacker!

Your not horrible, you've got plenty of time.  I haven't even moved my office stuff out of the soon to be nursery yet.  As for the color, a girl's room doesn't have to be pink, I think if you incorporate the colors your talking about and even a bright pink that would be really cute.  I saw a room kind of like that on home and garden website for a girl.

Hmmm... lets see. This weekend I moved some boxes out of the closet in the baby's room. That's about as far as I got. We haven't ordered furniture yet - or really bought anything for the baby's room. You still have a lot of time. No need to worry.

No worries, you have time..

I keep on telling myself I'm a slacker too because I really really need to clean my DS's room and go thru his billions of toys and clothes and JUNK... to make room for new baby, they will be sharing a room!!

I still haven't bought a single item for this baby.. not even pair of socks..

I sympathize,  but really, I don't think you know from slacker parenting.

My two year-old is standing on the toilet seat (which is closed), and "washing dishes" in the bathroom sink.  He's been at it for half an hour. I'm just glad he's not asking me to do anything.
