For ladies who bought their cribs at Walmart.

Me and my husband have been doing some searching online for our nursery set and I found that Walmart has some nice stuff that is rather inexpensive.  My only issue is that they don't come in sets.  I was just wondering if any of you ladies have bought all the pieces from Walmart and if you had any problems matching the colors.  Its so hard to tell online whether oak will match with honey oak of if all the cherry's are the same. I really have my eye set on this crib....

 Thanks! I'm half tempted to just go white but I know how kids are when they get older and white furniture. Its just a big no no.

All you had to do is look it's all right there on the website.  I would say since they are all made by the same company and are marketed at the honey oak color, they should all match.  Hope this helps!

Oh I know, I seen that dresser but its just soo blehhhhh! Its super small and it only has 3 drawers. I just wish they had more of a selection which is why I'm afraid to mix and match. I was hoping someone out there did and found it successful.

I think Im part of a small minority who actually like white furniture but I think they much nicer in a room with wall colors other than white and I live in an apartment and cant paint the walls. I originally was going to go with oak colored furniture but since MIL decided she wanted to buy the crib and I didnt want her to spend a ton I just went with seperates at Walmart. So after looking into it more just as you, I didnt feel like having to worry about whether the furniture pieces would match so I just went with black.

I know the stores dont have much compared to the internet but you could just go there and look at the few they have and compare them to see if you would even notice a difference. Good luck with whatever you choose to go with!

if you search for that same brand and color name, it wil match. they just dont come in " named set" at walmart. but they do have individual pieces that will match nicely.

I like white furniture as well  and I don't really understand that comment about older kids not liking it. To me furniture from wal-mart is much more of a no-no, just saying...

I ordered my crib online from Walmart, it was the cheapest place I could find the crib I wanted. They wanted like 60 dollars more for the same crib at BRU. It's, of course, already 30 dollars cheaper online now then when I bought it but hey...it happens.

 It is listed as cherry expresso but I read everything online and everybody said it was closer to expresso than cherry which is what I wanted. The same crib everywhere else is listed as just Expresso so I was concerned. I got it and love it, it is definately Expresso. It matches everything I've seen that is listed Expresso so I won't have any trouble getting the changing table and dresser to match. Hope this helps!

I ordered the exact same crib that the original poster showed but in white. We decided white was going to be the easiest to match and wanted our baby room to be yellow. I love the crib. We put it up yesterday.

To the poster who said the walmart furnature was a "no no", the Baby Mod line is made by Million Dollar Baby and also sold under the Davinci name. The Baby Mod Cadence is the same as the Davinci Kalani but about $100 cheaper and the Million Dollar Baby brand is even more expensive. The Baby Bargains book says the Baby Mod is a decent line and the only real criticism about it is that the wood is a little soft and they are not heirloom quality.

Thanks so much!!! I did do some research and these same brand names you can find in other places like JcPennys and such so buying them in walmart doesn't bother me at all. I said it was a no no to the color white.  I know how kids could be when they get older but hey what can ya do! I think we are gonna go with the the white Baby Mod crib as well, except the one that has all 4 sides that are stationary. I figured then if we need extra pieces as time goes on, white will be the easiest to match.  Thanks ladies.

By the way, I'm gong to get the Hemnes dresser in the 8 drawer style from Ikea. I looked at it and it looked nice for the money. It's $279 and they have a smaller version that is $179.

We bought this crib in cherry and the storkcraft dresser to go with it. It came in within two weeks, which was pretty fast. We haven't opened the boxes yet though. I'm okay if they are a couple of shades off though.

Thank you for the heads up. ?I was planning on the Davinci either emily or kalani. ?I had no idea it was the same as the baby mod. ?My only hesitation was on price. ?Now I can get the cadence for a lot less!!! ?Thanks for the heads up. ?With all the research I have been doing I cannot believe I missed that.

We have that dresser in our master bedroom. I love it and it's held up really well.
