Registry Question (Target & BRU)

I registered at Target yesterday and one girl got me started and gave me the scanner gun. When I was done I handed it back to a different girl that was covering the desk but she didn't give me anything. I was thinking "that's it? Don't I get something?" But I didn't say anything. When I checked my email last night it said to pick up my free tote bag with coupons, free samples, and some other things- at the store. I was like what the heck!

So I was wondering, how many of you registered at Target and got your free goodies? Did you get it that same day you registered at the store?

Also, does BRU give you anything for registering with them? I am starting a registry with them right now but online because there aren't many stores in my area.

I got a goodie bag at Target the day that I registered. She actually gave it to me when I picked up the scanner gun.  As far as Babies R Us you only get a goodie bag if you start your registry in the store from what I understand.

the BRU "goodie bag" is lame too: just a bottle and a magazine.

Many times, they "forget" to give it to you.   You have to say something.

I registered online with Target and they sent me a catalog in the mail that had a coupon to pick up a $20 gift card and the goodie bag.  I took the coupon in and I got the gift card and a bag with coupons.  I haven't registered at BRU yet.

we registered with BRU Fri night.  The only useful items are a bottle and a coupon.  The rest is just brochures showing all of their items that you NEED to buy, which of  course, is pretty much everything in the store.

we just registered at BRU, and I liked the gift bag that we got... it has a cool spiral-bound booklet with lists and stuff.  Got a good coupon and our second freebie bottle.  Haven't done at Target, yet.

I think it must be different depending on the store. I haven't registered at Target yet but I did BRU.  I set it up online first and went in for the gun later and we still got a goodie bag.  It was packed!  Pencil, diapers, photo album, small calendar, magazine, bottle, coupons, and the "what you need" book/lists.

I registered at BRU and recieved their gift bag. We just registered at Target and I left my husband in charge of getting the gun and gift bag while I helped myself to a mango smoothie Boys being boys, he only concentrated on getting the gun! Next time I go to Target, I will ask for my bag.
