Britax Car seats ?

Hello,

I need to buy a new car seat as my DS has pretty much outgrown his infant one.

I am going to buy a Britax but I can't decide if I really need to go ahead and buy the Marathon one or if the Roundabout with the 50 lbs weight limit is plenty.

I want to use this car seat until DS can just use a booster.

What have you done/will you do?

We got the Marathon - I didn't think about it much, just went by the great reviews and we have no complaints, so far.

We got the Roundabout, since it's supposed to be better for smaller cars. ?It still seems pretty big, I'm not sure if a bigger one would have fit in our car at all! ?We like it so far. ?I hope it'll be fine until K can use a booster, I guess booster starts at 4 years/40 pounds.

We have a Roundabout and a Decathalon.  The Roundabout is nice, but it only goes to 40 pounds.  DS is a big kid so he will most likely outgrow it.  DD is in the Decathalon which goes to 65 pounds.  Our state requires boosters/car seats until 8 years old or 4' 9".  I'd like my kids to be in a 5 point harness for as long as possible since they are the safest.

We have a Roundabout because it was a little better rated by Consumer Reports. The one CR rated higher (Roundabout was #2) was an Evenflo but at the time it barely fit in the car we had, so we went with the Britax. We haven't brought it out yet, but may soon. I'm wondering which might be more comfortable for him in a 9 hour car ride at 6.5 months.

We have a Roundabout.  I wasn't planning on buying a Britax, but I found it on clearance at Target last year for $129.

We got the Roundabout 50 because the roundabout is supposed to me more compact, and that one particularly has the higher weight limit (plus, super savings on babycatalog.com!)
