Re: Back Pain at 21 weeks?

  • Go to a chiropractor!  I found one that specializes in pregnancy and it's been a lifesaver.  I was practically dying from sciatic pain and headaches, and it's soooo much better now.  Worth every penny.

  • The chiropractor is a great idea... but if you can't get to one, I used to love Icy Hot patches. They fit great on the back and are really soothing!

  • I thought it was too early for back pain too as mine started to hurt pretty bad a few weeks ago.  I'm currently investigating getting a massage.  That's what friends are recommending.
  • CHIROPRACTOR!!!!!!!!

Trust me. You will thank yourself later. It'll make your delivery smoother if you're body is in alignment. Pregnancy makes your ligaments and tendons more stretchy and so it "pops" out more often.

Seriously though... it makes my life so much easier and better. I've been with my CP since I was 15 (due to an injury from knee surgery) and I honestly would not be walking right now without her. I've had 2 serious back injuries while in college and I honestly think I would have had back surgery if it weren't for her!

  • I ran into the same thing and felt it was way too early.  My doctor recommended a pregnancy support brace.  I got it and I feel so much better.  The one I got was about $40, but totally worth it.
