Any Camera recs??

I m looking for an SLR camera, Am currently looking into the Canon Rebel (Thanks Mrs.Ross!!). Any other goodies out there? I would say my budget is around $550 at the most with lens. TIA!!

    I'm in love with my Canon G10, but it's not SLR. I may get an SLR one day, but for now this has as much customization as I need or would probably use.

    we have the sony alpha and love it. i can't recall how much it cost but its comparable to the nikon d60 but it has live view on the screen so you don't have to hold it to your face to take pics and the screen pulls out so you can manuever it and get great shots from below whatever you are photographing.

    I think I saw this camera on sale at Target the other day for $250
