I am so worked up over this job situation I am in. I had a good meeting with a principal who now wants me to have an interview. It's for kindergarten which I would love. I have only taught 4th grade. The only problem is that its 1hr away. That'a a hellofa commute and to be that far away from Austin would be really hard. My county isn't hiring, so it's either this job, or try and make some $ on my own (tutoring/watching other kids). I want to stay home and try to do an afterschool care/tutoring thing. The only problem is FREAKING HEALTH INSURANCE! DH doesn't get it and I think it would be at least $500 for just Austin and me. I worry that I can't make enough to cover insurance and make up the difference we would need to pay bills.
I am so worked up over this, and I don't even have the job. I don't really know what I want. I would love the job- if it was closer, but I also want to be home with Austin and can't afford it. I think either way, it's going to be a hard year.
Re: a job vent
That stinks! I wish I could pick up the school and plop it down about 45 minutes closer to you!
I hear you about health insurance too. I would love to leave my job but DH's job doesn't offer health insurance, so I'm stuck.
