What are some of your grocery list staples? I've added Jell-O Sugar Free pudding to my list - Cinnamon Rolll is really good! So are the South Beach Cereal bars for a 1 carb choice snack.

  • I love to keep chicken nuggets/patties in the freezer... they are SO easy to microwave for a snack or meal.

I also keep sugar free popsicles around at all times for when I need something sweet.

Dont forget veggies as well. I make a salad a few nights a week and it helps to fill me up a little before the actual dinner so that I don't eat as many carbs.

  • Can't live without Sara Lee Delightful bread, only 9 grams of carbs per slice, 18 per sandwich so if you are on a 30 gram of carbs per meal like me you get a sandwich and some chips with it. Little pricey but totally worth it.

Also, coolwhip  has this new product called coolwhip dips (3 grams of carbs per tbsp), choc and strawberry coolwhip, great for strawberries and bananas.

Another staple I can't live without is diet Hansen's, no caffiene, no carbs, no sugar. I find them at Henry's or Vons occasionally, and their root beer tastes just like the real thing.

  • I just want to say Thank You to the moms who posted this.  I was diagnosed today and feeling overwhelmed and this really helped me shop. :)
