Coughing & gagging?

For the past few days Jake has been coughing/gagging some, both with and without the bottle.  I haven't changed anything so I called the pedi.  They said it might just be nasal drainage and to try to give him nose drops.  Does that sound right?  I haven't really noticed any drainage.

From what the ped told us, they can have drainage or a cold without you realizing it because it drains down the back of the throat first. They have to be pretty clogged up before it starts coming out of the nose so that does sound right to me.
