Hi ladies! I had an HSG and was told I had mild hydrosalpinx in both of my tubes. I have been TTC for 5 years. I finally got a BFP and I had a miscarriage 6 months ago. Do any of you have success stories with scarring in your tubes? My doctor wants to do a laproscopy and if needed discuss IVF. Any advice or stories you have is appreciated!
TIA!
Re: Success with hydrosalpinx (scarring)?
here is my concern.... both my RE's (my regular RE and my IVF clinic) have said that a hydrosalpinx is potentially fatal to a fetus, so my take on that is mild, or not, it might need to be removed in order to carry to term. That is terrifying, but it makes sense.
From my understanding, a hydro tends not to come and go, it tends to be chronic. Tubes should be removed, and IVF used to conceive. Lap might tell you more, but I think preparing for IVF would be a good next step.
FWIW, I have 2 completely blocked tubes and it was a devastating dx, however, it forced us to move to IVF, which eventually led to my miracle baby.
There are so many of us with IVF success stories! Ask any questions, I bet we can answer them!

yes, the fluid in hydros is toxic to embryos. I had to have both of my tubes removed for just this reason. we went through multiple IVFs but eventually I got pregnant! (we also have other "issues" like MF and AMA and DOR and high FSH.)
my entire IF story (starting from HSG) is in my blog.

I also was Dx w/ Hydrosalpix after having a bilateral tubal pregnancy (twin ectopic pregnancy) March 13, 2007 and to be honest we have been tring ever since that day and still no BFP...
These are my issues: Blocked Left tube w/Hydrosalpinx fluid & Right tube scarred from Tubal pregnancy.
The messed up thing about this story is I just got married last weekend and I desperatly want a child. Although i have an 11 year old, it's like life will not be complete untill another child is created...i know that sounds crazy but It seems like I never wanted children this bad untill i noticed I had a problem having them... I have a very supportive husband which is the good thing..
Please someone give me a success story
