So tell me about baby crack machines

With Gabe we just used a CD playing lullabies.

I need to introduce some noise to David since we have started putting him in his crib and I would prefer not to use a CD. 

Recommend your machine and where you got it.

We got the Homedics Lullaby Soundspa and it broke after 6 weeks- the projector doesn't turn anymore but the sound works.

I got a white noise machine at BRU.  I just put it on the ocean setting.  She can sleep without it I just put it on to kinda drown out the noises from the rest of house.

Same here, the projector will always break, but we still use it like a nightlight - it's great because it's just enough light that we can still see him on the video monitor.

I have the homedics spa as well, but our projector works great.  We leave it on in our room and in the nursery ( we just recently bought a second one since DD spends naptime in bed with me but sleeps in her crib at night).  I agree that it also works as a great nightlight since it projects blue light (doesn't keep you up or the baby up).  Also it's a lot cheaper than most mobiles.
