There is a post on the disney board I go to and it is getting a little heated so I was wondering how people feel about it here? I didn't answer the post since I haven't had this issue come up.
Nothing big, but I vaguely recall saying ds was still 3 a month or two after his 4th birthday at a Chinese buffet because I knew that ds wasn't going to eat more than 6 bites of food total (kids 3 and under were free, I think.)
No I haven't. She talks way too much, and I'm sure would correct me if I told someone she was 2 instead of 3. And she is so small i could probably get away with it for years.
No, we haven't. Besides, R is so tall for her age, everyone thinks she's older than she really is anyway.
However, the last time we went to Sesame, they didn't ask for her ticket the first day. She was sitting in the stroller, so I guess the woman thought she was under 2. So, theoretically, we still have one day left on the ticket...which if I felt up to it, I might take her back and use it. So, I guess in a way, it's the same thing as lying about her age. I wouldn't have tried to get her in without a ticket on purpose, though.
Sure have. He had just turned 2 and we went to the Aquarium. I knew he'd probably fall asleep in the stroller after about 20 minutes (which he did), so when they didn't charge us (kids under 2 got in free) I didn't say anything. Plus, IMO, there is very little difference in a 24 month old and a 25 month old. I think it depends on the situation. If people are trying to pass off 6 year olds as 3 year olds, that's a whole other ballgame.

This exactly...even the small part. DD would totally correct me or shout out her age if she overheard someone asking.
At our rec center/pool they have to pay once they turn 2. It was a few months after she turned 2 and a few months before we renewed our family rec pass (which she would be added to).
Re: Have you ever lied about your childs age to get in to something free or to get anything for free?

I saw the post you are talking about and KNEW it would get ugly fast, it always does on that board.
I haven't lied about DD age, but know many people who have fibbed about their 3yo being 2 to get in free.
By omission.
