Just chill out. We had a low key birthday party, and everyone really enjoyed it. No need for an expensive birthday cake and location, unless that is what you truly want. Lili's party was in my sister's backyard - she had a kid pool and trampoline, which went over well. Simple foods - brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta/grape/fruit/German potato salads, cheesy hash browns, watermelon, beer cheese dip with pretzels, birthday cake. We bought some beer and soda, and everyone had a great time.
And please resize your siggy. I'm not trying to be snarky at all, it's just obnoxious having to scroll that much. Thanks.
I'm just now starting to put together the guest list; determine theme, location... How soon you should start largely depends on the size of your party. If you're having a huge bash at another location, you'll want to start sooner than if you're having a simple family gathering at your house.

My sons b-day party is sept 12th and i'm just know starting to think about it. ITs simple at home with friends and close family- no need to spend lots of money on a bash when they won't remember it..if you do a big bash people and are going to keep expecting it for more to come

Sorry, but I have to agree. Two pics and two tickers can be okay if the second one wasn't so HUGE.
About the party, I have some preliminary ideas but our party will just be close family. I would love to do a low key backyard party, but DS's bday is in November Our house doesn't have a layout that's really good for entertaining so I'm stressed about where to have it. I would love to cut down the guest list, but DH and I have big immediate families.
Relax, I didn't start planning until about 10 months old. And your siggie pic is huge. I would resize just so we don't have to scroll over to see your beautiful DD's face.

Given that your DD's birthday falls on Christmas, you may want to start thinking about the date/location to avoid people being busy with holiday gatherings and locations being booked for the same.
I started planning in June for my DD's October birthday. However, I'm doing a lot of things myself to save money (making the invites, making a lot of the decorations instead of buying from Etsy, sewing crayon rolls and reusable snack bags for the goodie bags, etc.) so I wanted to get as much of that done over the summer as possible. I'm a teacher, and once I go back to work in August my time in the evenings and on the weekends will be limited so I want to get as much done now as possible.
