anyone ever had AF "jump started"

at what point did you call the doctor?  When did they prescribe the medicine to force AF?

Re: anyone ever had AF "jump started"

  • My doctor said she would do that if it didn't show up by 6 mo, so I could start BC again. I haven't called because I don't see a huge need right now. If you have a reason to want it sooner I'd call. If not - enjoy being AF free!

  • I just did!  I went to the doc when I did not get AF 6 weeks after weaning.  He told me I *could* have Provera if I would like.  Yes please, we would like to try again relatively soon.  Anyway, I was suppossed to take 10 pills, 1 a day for 10 days.  On day 8, I started spotting, day 9 I was getting a full on AF.  It hasnt been as bad as people warned me, not a single bit of cramping or anything.  Anyway, I probably didnt really need the Provera, but I was anxious and my doc said it is so super safe, so I went with it.  Good luck!
  • I was prescribed Provera the summer before I got pregnant. I was on CD 80 or something crazy like that without seeing AF. It got me right on track and I got my BFP two months later.
