Get ready for more cruise hysteria

NKOTB just announced their 2010 cruise. May 14-17, 2010. I really want to go, but probably can't justify the $400 plane tickets to get there, then roughly another $1000 to go on a 3 day cruise by myself, and then of course, the additional money for spending and such. Sad

But I can just about guarantee that Jodi is going this time!

Re: Get ready for more cruise hysteria

  • Oooh, to top it off, look at the dates. Die hard fans will see that it starts on Danny's b-day, and ends on Jordan's. I would love to go, but I don't think it's fair to my family to spend that kind of money on something like that for only myself. I love NKOTB to death, but lately it's just all about $$$$$ and they aren't even trying to make it look any different. The economy is in the toilet, yet I've seen women at the concerts who have the cruise shirt on and are telling stories about the 50 concerts they've been to this summer alone. I'm starting to think NKOTB is contributing to the National Debt Stick out tongue. The woman behind me at my last concert paid $5000 for the cruise and $300+ for each VIP ticket (and she'd been to quite a few). I have always been fanatical, but there comes a point where it's a sickness. Honestly, if I were them I wouldn't want to meet a fan who would shell out that kind of money repeatedly....they may not be all there, KWIM? I'm not talking about Jodi, but the psycho lady I met at a contest last year. She was a teacher, yet she has followed NKOTB all over the globe, literally. What do they hope to gain from this? Is a NK going to look at them and say, "Oh baby, I've got a wife/gf/supermodel...whatever, but when I see you at EVERY.SINGLE.SHOW I can't help but want you!" ?

  • I hear ya. I would LOVE to be able to go, but I read some of the reviews from the last cruise and while some women were able to meet them, they were few and far between. It's one thing to spend $85 on a couple tickets (I didn't even do any meet and greets!!) but totally another to spend $2000 that I don't have. We hope to buy a house sometime in the near future, so I doubt my going on that cruise will help matters any!!

Oh well, I guess I will just live vicariously through Jodi!
