Did you Decoupage Alphabet Wall Letters?

I have seen post about decoupaging (sp?) the wall letters to spell out your baby's name with fabric to match bedding... any website rec's on directions to do this? Any tips on being successful? Or where to get the best letters? Michael's?

Thanks Ladies!

  • Letters from Michaels are great, I got mine there.  I used scrapbooking paper, but same idea.

Paint the edges of the letters in a coordinating color.

Trace the letters onto the back of the fabric, then cut out.

Cover letters with ModPodge, then put the fabric on, smoothing it out to get out wrinkles.  Let dry.

Cover fabric with a thin layer of ModPodge, let dry.

    Voila!

  • I didn't do it but my mom and I have decoupaged a million things. You can find special decoupage "glue" at most craft stores, I think Walmart may even have it next to the spray paint? Anyway super easy, just brush it on the letters, add paper on top, then brush again and that's it. You can use wood letters which would work or you can find 3D cardboard type ones too which would work, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnne's will all probably have letters.
