I have never met another AMC that wasn't at my church or a church function! Most people, when I tell them my denomination, are like "a what? Oh... okay..."

How old are you? Did you ever go to Life?

The pastors (my youth pastor and regular pastor) that were really there for me during high school and beyond are gone. I went there from 17-21, stopped going, moved away, came back and most everyone is new. I've only been to service with this new pastor four times. I like him a lot, except for the remarks today.

Thank you for your input. It's nice to get both sides of the discussion.?

    I'm 28.  Never went to LIFE.  I was actually raised Lutheran and began attending this church just before my husband and I got married.  We had some friends who grew up in the church and we attended with them a few times and really enjoyed the community and what the church stands for.

    ETA - It's been about 3 years we've been attending.  We aren't members yet though.
