Poor DD tried just a smidge of broccoli yesterday and that made for a long night for all of us. I've decided she's just VERY sensitive to foods that may make her gassy. The poor thing was gulping so much air, hysterically crying, sniffling, batting away DH b/c she only wanted me, it was rough.
After about 3 hours of burping/rocking her to sleep, laying her down only to have her start screaming again, she finally went down around 2am and was feeling better.
I need to have something on hand to help with this type of thing though - I hated seeing her like that. If you have a gripe water brand that you trust and works well, please let me know and let me know where you bought it. And please let me know if it works for gas-producing foods as well as gas issues related to breast milk.
TIA!
Re: baby gas, gripe water, etc
Have you tried Mylicon? That is specifically for gassy babies.?
If you want to try the Gripe Water though, my sister uses the Baby's Bliss brand and it works really well with my nephew when he's super fussy.

we avoided broccoli until dd was over a year just because it is so gassy.
I have no advice--I live in a land where gripe water has always seemed to solve every issue
btw--I just get gripe water at HEB and it is in the blue box. I think it is either in the baby section or over in the section w/ adult tummy stuff. They seem to move it around.
