XP: BF'ers please come in....

I also posted this on the BF board... 

I have EBF the entire 5 months and so far things have gone well. We had the initial pain and turbulent times in the very early beginning, but nothing crazy. I have been back at work since 3 months and pumping and all that jazz. I had my first clogged duct about a month ago, there was a blister on the nipple which I popped and the clog worked out fine. Well, the blister thing is still there, it reappears every now and then, but its not needing to be popped, it just feels like an open sore, but it looks like a white bump. It hurts, especially now that Avery has taken to pulling off and "playing" often.

Anyone know what this could be or what I can do? TIA.

I don't know what it would be, but I think you need to speak to a LC or get into a doctor to have it checked out. That doens't seem normal.

I've had two blister in the same spot in the last month, but they go away on their own. I think it has to do with a bad latch. That is just my guess to my problem because I've been lazy lately and I let him latch and unlatch by himself.

Sounds like a milk blister, google milk blister and see if that's what you've got

Maybe the blister didn't heal, have you put lanolin on it?

Ditto this also. I didn't pop or poke mine. They both healed on their own. And lanolin helped.
