another cereal ?

How many tries did it take for your LO to actually start eating some of the rice cereal?  TIA!   (we've only tried twice and he just leaves it in his mouth for a while and spits it back out)

I started with oatmeal and my dd never liked it. After three days, I gave her bananas and she loved them and almost every other fruit and vegetable I gave her.  2 months later, she will only take her cereal mixed with a fruit.

There's no reason they have to have rice cereal other than iron, but you could give an iron supplement (talk to pedi first). Wholesomebabyfood.com has info on fruits and veggies that are good for a 4 month old. 

If you really want your lo to have cereal it can take a really long time before they might accept a new food.
