Triangle consignment sale?

The sale at the fairgrounds (I believe that's where it is) Does anyone know when this is?  Also, has anyone been?  Is it worth going?  Any tips?  I'm on the lookout for a jogging stroller and maybe some cheap toys.

Thanks ladies!

Re: Triangle consignment sale?

  • Someone posted a link last week to all the upcoming consignment sales..I'll see if I can locate or maybe the original poster can repost.
Kids to Kids exchange is at the fairgrounds next weekend.

ETA: murph posted this... very helpful!

That is funny.  I didn't even notice that!

Thanks for the information ladies!  I may have to try my luck and see what cool things they have!  Am I crazy to go?  Why do I have a feeling it's going to be a mad house?

  • I was looking at my playgroup message board today, and it said that by 9am on Friday morning (first time it's open to the public), there will be a line 150 people deep. And they said expect check out to take an hour! Crazy!

  • The kids exchange is totally worth it! There are over 2500 sellers, Its huge !!!!!! Its at the fairgrounds , the lines are long but they do move fast and to save hundreds of dollars I think I can wait an hour.
  • Also, Bring something to put your "finds" in its a pain in the butt having to carry around a bunch of things. People usually use strollers, wagons ect.
  • LMAO at the kid sex change. - that is definitely another possible read there, a la Sean Connery in Celebrity Jeoparty. I was focusing only on the lack of apostrophe and ambigous meaning (like, are we swapping kids?)

Does anyone know if you can use credit cards there? I'm excited! thanks for the tips!

  • Here's some good info from their site. I think I'll be using a check and bringing my own bags!

We accept cash and NC checks and CREDIT CARDS!

(4% phone line fee for credit card use / No out-of-State checks) NC Checks must be accompanied by a valid NC Driver's License.

    * Please note, we no longer have shopping bags donated to The Kids Exchange. We have purchased bags and shoppers will pay approx 30 cents per bag to cover the exact cost. Bags are mandatory for the security of the sale. Purchased items must exit the building in the shopping bags. If you do not wish to pay for bags, you can put your items in the car and return the bags to the Info Desk for a full bag refund. Returned bags must be in re-usable condition. Thank you for helping us keep the Kids Exchange a secure environment.

  • For those who've been in the past, are there always long lines at check out?  I'd like to go and look around for a few things, but I can't wait in an hour long line to check out.  Liam is just NOT that patient in his stroller.
