WE had our 12 month appointment today....it's so surreal to believe that last year this time we were spending endlessly long days at the NICU on the flip side, I cannot even believe how old and big my girls are today. WE are still not on the charts for height and weight, but my Pedi says it's coming and not to be too concerned!
Olivia..Baby A. Born 7/10 @ 10:49 am weighing in at 2.8 lbs and 15 1/2 inches, now weighs 16.4 lbs and 26.75 inches
Sydney...Baby B Born 7/10 @ 10:51 am weighing in at 2.7lbs a nd 14 1/2 inches n ow weighs 16.7 lbs and is 25.5 inches
Both girls are on almost all table foods and we are transitioning to milk with one bottle of 2nd step formula a day or sippy as soon as the girls can do that. They are so chunky and cute...they are also almost meeting all of theri milestones..we do have EI from MO for those they are struggling with. HOWEVER we have NOT A SINGLE TOOTH yet...but my pedi isn't concerned...she's still going by their adjusted age for that and she c an see them starting to come in...so well, see.
We had our MMR and chicken pox vaccination this appointment as well, so not fun, I forgot how much I hate shots! Our pedi is applying for Synagis for the girls, but isn't sure if they will be eligible for their 2nd year...ins cos are being special about this...as many of you already know the 2nd year is often NOT covered...BUT the American Academy of Pediatrics just released a new report about the importance of Synagis being given the 2nd year to preemies born before 32 weeks...so we'll see.
I really just can't believe the year is over, at first it seemed endless and now that I look back it's gone so fast!
