LUCKY41010
QOTW:
Do you have names picked out for your next baby? What are they?
Updates:
Make sure you let us know how you're doing with ttc-ing (or since we have so many who are just "thinking about it", you can just update us on you in general)!
Group News:
Congratulations to LUCKY41010 on her bfp!
Many condolences to BrainySmurfette on your miscarriage. I am so sorry that happened.
Re: TTCing (or thinking about it) Check In
QOTW: no names...it's hard because we had the name Campbell picked out forever so we didn't really have to think too hard last time.
Update: I'm 3 days past an IUI. This is the hardest 2ww since we started trying again. I'm going crazy!
QOTW:
We also had Lily picked out forever, but did pick out a boy name in case - Callen, if it's a girl it will be Ella Jane (Jane is my mom's name, and Catherine, Lily's middle name is Chris' mom)
Updates:
Well, I started doing ovulation tests this month, just so I could roughly predict by September, October, when I would ovulate. I don't know if it's the tests or me, but I swear I am not going to ovulate! I have been testing since day 10 and now am on day 17 and no line. My cycle is not very long, so hoping nothing is wrong.
QOTW: We also had Ryan picked out forever bc it is my maiden name and his middle name we chose bc it is FIL's and he was so amazing when Ryan came out not breathing and he was the pedi right there until the neo got there. For the next one we have a boy name picked Oliver Charles but we also like Charles Xavier (I went to Xavier) and Owen Thomas (Thomas is my dad's name). Girls names however we are not sure about. Middle name will most likely be Madonna bc it is my mom's name. I like Lucy, Claire and Megan but DH likes Gabrielle.
Update: I think we timed things right this month fingers crossed and so I have 1 more week of the 2ww. I still am not sure if I am ovulating (I don't on my own but am on metformin) but the signs were there saying I did so we'll see.
Martha- Ryan, DH and I prayed for you Sun and Mon night during his bedtime prayers!!! I'm so hopeful for you!
QOTW: No clue about names! We had tons of girls names picked when I thought Sam was a girl (we wanted to be surprised, but ended up finding out via the amnio by accident!). I do know that if the next baby is a girl, her middle name will be Noelle, and if it's a boy, the middle name will be Miller. So at least he/she has a middle name!
Update: Well, this was officially our first month trying, but I think our timing as been off, b/c I am using OPK's for the first month here, and no line at all. I always o on cd 15, and here it is cd 16, so we'll see what's up with that. It would be a miracle, I think, as again, poor timing on our part. I got a new job with a decent raise, so this helped in our decision making to start trying now. We shall see!
GL to each of you!
QOTW: My DH and I don't seem to like any of the same names, and my sister named her DD the name that was the next girl name on my list I'm happy she used one of my fav names for my niece, but I've got nothing at the moment--except Cordelia (which my DH hates).
Update: I'm thinking of getting some OPKs for this cycle. I have no idea if I'll have a normal cycle at all after the m/c, but I'm thinking that OPKs might be faster than waiting for an AF to arrive. I still have to have another hcg blood draw tomorrow, too. OB wants to be sure it drops all the way to zero.
my condolences to brainysmurfette.
QOTW: nope. I'd still like to use the girl name we'd picked for Robbie (Lorelei Kay) but who knows.
No real updates. I'm feeling more fence-sitting than ever. Robbie's kinda stuck developmentally and it has me feeling down. I don't know how I'd manage a 2nd child.. and the likely bedrest and such that would come with a pregnancy.
My Blog
QOTW: We were going to name our girl Kylie Brooke. There is still a good chance that we will use this name if we have a girl. My husband also likes the name Madelyn (we would call her Maddie). There are a few other girls names that we have tossed around too. If we have a boy we like the name Andrew.
Update: My husband and I had a talk about starting to try this month since Brandon turned 1. I am ready to start trying but my husband wants to wait a few more months so we probably won't start trying until closer to October when Brandon was due. We will try on our own for a few months and if I am not pregnant by January will go back to the fertility doctor that we used the first time. We will have 13 frozen emrbyos so we would do FET, although this time I will have them only put one in since they think the reason I lost Brandon's twin at 20 1/2 weeks is because my body couldn't carry twins. I just started to take my prenatal vitamins again and I am calling my doctor today to get a prescription for folic acid and start taking that again and a baby aspirin (I have MTHFR and had to do that prior to getting pregnant the first time).
QOTW: ryan was an easy one - he was named after a very close friend that passed away. DH married me with the stipulation that our first child would be named ryan. the next kid, who knows. we tend to have very different opinions about names. and we have a lot of nephews, so a lot of the good boy names are taken.
update: i've decided to try to stop being so concerned about what's "next" and enjoy the moment (a huge deal for a control freak, obsessive compulsive person like myself). and, wouldn't you know it, DH is now ahead of me in being ready! one of our main obstacles to having another child is getting a bigger house. i'm thinking next spring, he's thinking this winter. seriously!
