I'm dying here :-)
Best friend's water broke last week at 32 weeks. They kept her on hospital bed rest and her c-section was at 2pm today (supposed to be 1:30 but it was delayed due to the one before hers).
It's been 55 minutes - I'm dying here!! I need to know!! I have not left my computer or phones in an hour.
Re: How long after a c-section do you text an announcement?
Well she was texting me as she was being prepped :-), so I guess I wasn't expecting 2 hours.
I guess maybe since the baby is going to be a preemie they want to assess his/her health first.
Oh, and the baby is going directly to the NICU, so she won't get to hold him/her :-(.
Give it a few hours. The anesthesia is a killer. Takes about 30-60min to get out of the recovery room after the surgery is done.
I should mention that I'm not expecting HER to text me, her husband.
Still a couple of hours? Really? The other friend we both had texted within seconds of the baby being born. He had it all typed up and just had to fill in the details and hit send. That is what she said her DH did.
Ok, I'll admit I'm worried :-(.
DD was born via c-section at 11 am & DH texted the announcement at 1:30. Cell phones weren't allowed in recovery, so he had to wait until we got back to my room.
If I had a complicated pg, and my baby was going straight to the NICU, I think I'd have other things on my mind, and I know my dh would as well.
I know you are just worried and anxious to hear. Give them a little bit of time.
