My dad opened a joint savings account for our future baby, how sweet of him. He's so excited to finally be a Grandfather, I'm his only child so he's been waiting...
He says he will deposit a little once a month and put all of his bonus checks in and whenever I feel the need to go buy something for the baby it's there. The only problem is, I can't start buying stuff. LOL
I was the one a couple of weeks ago that posted and said I go look at baby stuff with the thought of purchasing a few small things and it just doesn't feel right. But it's there if I ever get up the courage. I'm so excited that my dad is this excited. I needed some good incouraging news like this too. I've been struggling with the homestudy the past few days.
Just wanted to share and noticed the board was really quiet today.
Re: Baby Savings Account
I was scared to buy thing at first thinking that it would not happen and we would have all of this stuff.
We our baby came for a visit in Jan. we got the news the day after Christmas and I could not help myself so we had Christmas for her when she came to visit. The next visit in April that was suppose to be for a month and ended up being for two I bought things along the way as we needed them or if it was to cute. My DH often came home with odd and ends also.
We are currently waiting on her to come home forever and it is KILLING me so my teenage DD and I are sewing cute dresses for her. It is not instant like buying but lets us feel close to her while we wait.
Whatever way makes you happy is the way to do it. It is good to have the support of your Dad, that is never a bad thing.
