Anyone else HAVE to buy clothes in sets of two (or 3?)

I am not into matching things identically (although I'm ok with doing it for PJs)... BUT, I get kind of obsessive about buying things that "coordinate."  So, same style outfit, in coordinating colors or stripes or whatever...

Anyone else this nutty?  :)

Re: Anyone else HAVE to buy clothes in sets of two (or 3?)

  • It's really hard finding coordinating outfits all the time for a boy and girl....but I find myself trying as hard as possible to find matching or at least coordinating outfits....even pajamas Embarrassed

  • Suprisingly enough, I haven't done this yet, after all  of my shopping. I think it's cute when babies match too but I guess my prego brain is not functioning.
  • I am a big fan of coordinating outfits! what if I want to take a picture - I don't want to the outfits to clash!
  • It is just easy for me to buy 3 of everything.  If I see a cute shirt on sale, and there are 3 of the size I need - I buy them.

  • Yep, I usually buy coordinating things when I buy clothes for them.  I haven't had to buy too much though b/c we have tons of clothes that fit them still.  Once they grow out of their 0-3 mo stuff we will need to buy a few things.  But yes, I love for them to coordinate.
  • I still have a ways to go and haven't started buying outfits but I can't wait to dress them in coordinating or the same outfits! It's going to be sooo much fun!!
  • I love my kids to have coordinating outfits- but I haven't bought them anything really since last March (of 2008) so I do with what I have. (We've gotten a lot of hand me downs). However- I try to coordinate them as much as I can- I hate thinking that one of my kids may look dressed better than the others and people think that I might have a favorite- which I don't! So if one wears jeans they usually all wear jeans...if one wears a polo type shirt they all wear a polo type shirt...things of that nature. :)

  • It drives me nuts when they don't coordinate.  :):):)
  • I am SUCH a nut when it comes to this...I have to have the same bibs, socks, binkies, etc.  I used to hate when people did that, but now I'm the one making sure everything is exactly the same.

I attribute my special kind of crazy to lack of sleep.  : )

  • Are boys aren't here yet, but everything we've bought (ourselves) is two of the same- I did get some gifts from family that aren't two of the same, but coordinates which is fine and we will use it, but they'll be dressed alike most of the time.

  • ::raises hand::

I totally do. We have matching pajamas, and most of their daytime clothes are the same but in different colors/patterns. I love carters for this reason - most things come in 2 different colors which makes shopping really easy.

I just think it will make life easier once they are here to have 2 of each outfit. I don't want to have to dig around because one boy has a warmer outfin, and I need to find a sweater for the other one, blah blah blah.

I even have the coordinating onesies folded in sets of 2 in their drawers so I don't have to look for the mate, and I have a little box of stuff that doesn't have a match that I am looking for matches for. (if I can't find a match I will probably give these away Embarrassed)

  •  if they are wearing blue and green Jack always is in blue and Keaghan is in green... and if they are wearing other colors but there is something blue Jack wears it, if its green Keaghan wears it... if one is wearing jeans so is the other...i never thought I would be like this but if one spits up or pees through something... I have a hard time not changing the other to coordinate

  • Sooooo glad I'm not the only one... I swore I wasn't going to...  But, here I am!  LOL

And it stinks because sometimes something will be on sale or on the clearance rack, and it's practically a steal... But, if it doesn't have a matching or coordinated piece, I just can't buy it...
