Nursery letters

Hello! I am hoping to make my own nursery letters today.  I have seen many posts on how people get scrapbook paper and cover up letters they got at craft stores. I never paid much attention to the details though because I was planning on buying mine.  I have been feeling a little crafty though and want to make my own now.  Can anyone help me out with tips, directions or advice? Pictures of your own would be great too.  TIA!!!

Re: Nursery letters

  • Alot of girls have used mod podge I believe.
  • Hi, I did mine like this:

Paint the edges of the letters in a color to coordinate, let dry.

Trace the letters onto the back of the paper, then cut out.

Use a brush to put on a thin layer of ModPodge, then place the paper on the letter.

Let dry about 5-10 minutes, then brush more ModPodge, on top of the paper, to seal and give a glossy coat.

Repeat with all letters and voila!  It's a bit time consuming, but fun. :)
