Ugh, last week sucked donkey balls. (2 sick kids, new roof and then wisdom teeth hell) I'm feeling better, but still swollen, sore and feeling a bit hung over from the meds I'm on. I've lost about 5lbs from not being able to eat or just having soft foods.
The short of this long story is be sure to get your wisdom teeth taken out by an oral surgeon by your early 20's and don't wait until your older to get them out. I'm 33 and one of my wisdom teeth had grown into the nerves and that is why getting it out was so difficult and had to be continued w/the oral surgeon.
My dentist called to check on me the first night and told my husband that he'd be refunding all our money, which I thought was very nice of him to do that. I wasn't expecting that at all and greatful since we incured similar costs from the oral surgeon.
Anyway, I'm getting better every day and my mom is in town to help take care of my kids while I recover and DH is at work. Just wanted to pop my head in and say hello and thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts.
Re: Climbing out of my hole for bit to say hello
Married and it feels so good!
I've been thinking about you -I can't imagine the pain you must have been in - not to mention the psychological trauma of the whole thing.
Glad you're feeling better. Hope you feel back to normal soon.
hope you are back to solid foods in no time!
I had my wisdom teeth out young becaues my mom had a similar experience to yours. She actually had hers removed a few months after having me and said the pain was worse than her unmedicated child birth. So I made sure to do it young and be fully knocked out!
Feel better!
