Should I change to the toddler bed?

DD never liked being in the crib not even in daycare in the infant room. In september she will be in the toddler room where they don't have cribs, they have the cutuest cots. My mother stated that since dd hates the crib ( probably since i co sleep) that i should transform the crib into the toddler bed with the rail. And how this will help with dd's transition to the cot. What do you think? Thanks

We switched our kiddos over to toddler beds around 15 months or so.  It was super easy!

We decided against the toddler bed because we already had a twin, instead we removed the side of his crib and added a crib rail. You can consider that option.

Both my kids have been on cots at daycare since they were a year.  We moved my older DD to her twin beds at 18 months and will be moving my other DD in late Aug or early Sept when she is 17-18 months old.  She is so ready.  My older DD did great with it.
