U/S at 4!

Ahhhh I don't wanna be at work right now... only 6 more hours!  Anyone else get nervous about drinking all that water beforehand?  My bladder is already the size of a grape, idk how I'm gonna hold it.  At least that's something to think about to balance out the extreme anticipation and excitement that's been building for 2 weeks lol.

I know the feeling, ours is next Wednesday.  Have fun seeing your lil one, are you finding out the sex?

Mine's today too!  Though mine's at 130p, so I don't have to wait all day, but STILL!!!  I'm with you...I don't want to be at work right now!

How much water did they say for you to drink?  They told me 16oz anywhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour before the u/s.

I didnt have to drink anythign beforehand, my tech said there equipment did not require it. I dont know how I would have made it if I had to tho! Just try and drink most of it before you go in so your not holding it long.

I wonder how much of a difference the water really makes.  I've never loaded up on water and haven't had any problems seeing everything very clearly.  I guess everyone's doctor/tech tells them something different...

I DID load up on sugar before my last u/s so that we could see the baby moving around - normally I think we catch him sleeping.  Unfortunately I had to wait around for 1.5 hours in the waiting room, so I think by the time we finally went in for the u/s he was in a sugar coma!  I'm hoping for better luck when I go back in 2 weeks....

I just scheduled my big u/s this morning for August 4th.  It's going to be the longest 3 1/2 weeks ever!

They told me to empty my bladder 1 hour before the appt. then drink 20oz of water.  I really didn't have to go too bad and I am a peeing machine.  I hope all goes well and let us know which team you'll be joining!!!

Me too! Did the u/s tech say anything about drinking less since it is later in the day? I was surprised that she told me to drink a bottle 16.9 oz at 3 and hold it. Last pregnancy it was 32oz an hour before or something rediculous like that.

Yeah they told to completely drink 32 oz. an hour before my appointment.  That's 4 water bottles!
