Nursery Bedding (PIP) **Need Opinions**

I am getting the crib bedding made and below is my palette of fabrics --

Outside Bumper: # 6

Inside Bumper: # 8

Bowties/Welting on Bumper: # 7

Crib Skirt: Solid cherry red (not shown in palette)

Crib Sheets: 1, 2, 5 & 11

What do you think -- do you like the stripes for the outside bumper?

Re: Nursery Bedding (PIP) **Need Opinions**

  • Is the outside and inside bumper the same thing, just one side is one fabric and the other side is another? Or are there actually TWO bumpers? I'm confused! Huh?

I do like the stripes for the outside - it brings more color into the room and makes it more playful. I would definitely keep the wall color light and airy - a less saturated version of one of the colors in the bedding. Otherwise it might start to be a bit TOO MUCH color and look circusy.

  • Yeah the outside bumper is what we see from the outside or when you walk into the room and the "inside" bumper is what faces the baby -- all the same bumper, just 2 fabric sides. Good feedback, thanks.

  • I think it looks great...it is very cute! ?Love the bright colors!
  • I absolutely adore the shabby chic flowers with the modern, fun polka dots.... I just don't see the stripe fitting in.  It brings in purple, yellow, and green and feels more circusy than the rest.  It's just not in the same style as the rest of the prints.  I think fabric #4 or #7 would be awesome for the outside of the bumper- the rest of the plan I LOVE!  Very cute!  What paint do you have picked?  I would go with a creamy white or very pale shade of pink or blue to keep it fresh and simple.  Post a final pic, I love where this is headed.
  • I really like the stripes!  Where are you getting the bedding from-I really like the fabrics and would love to explore the gender neutral ones they may have.

    Thanks!

  • Definately the flower prints 2 more than 10, and the smaller designs like 1 and 11
  • Where are you getting this made? Is someone in your family making it or are you going some where to get it made? I really want to have mine made but I don't know where to start!!
  • The stripes are my least favorite of those fabrics.  I agree that they don't really "fit" with the other cute patterns.  Sorry!
