Late 2nd triers who work out...

Does your belly get hard and tight when you work out? I've noticed this lately, and it lasts the whole time (roughly 40 minutes) I'm on the treadmill or eliptical. It's not uncomfortable or crampy like BHs I've had, it's just wierd and I'm wondering if it's common or I should be worried. It goes away when I stop working out.

  • Yes, this does happen to me. I asked my midwife about it and she said to make sure I'm not overdoing it and to also make sure that I drink plenty of water because "a dry uterus can contract and feel tight". I started doing less time and speed on the treadmill and that seems to help most of the time.

  • I swim 4x a week and yes, this totally happens to me too.  I do get some BH ctx too, but the rock hard belly is different, not sure why.......
