f/u to my newbie post about prefolds/covers

Thanks for all the answers--you are a wealth of information!

My next question is about liners.  I'm confused!  I've seen the rolls of flushable/disposable ones, seen some posts on here about wool---when do you use these and what are your favorite kinds?  Are they used to help keep covers clean, and to keep wetness away from baby's skin?  or am I missing something?

Sorry I'm so clueless--I'm trying to learn from lurking and googling, but this one I'm stuck on!

Thanks again, I'm so excited about this board :)

Re: f/u to my newbie post about prefolds/covers

  • Liners have been largely useless for me even now when the poo has started to firm up especially with prefolds - I don't think you should worry about them as especially breast fed poo is water soluble.

Wool is generally mentioned as a cover instead of some other sort of covering over the prefold (prefold on to soak up waste, cover over to keep waste confined).  We use wool overnight as we need more soaking power.
