Re: storkcraft nursery set??
thanks! It seems like such a great set and it comes with the conversion rails which im findiing isnt happening too much anymore. DS has a beautiful childcraft set and DD has Jardine set. I really wish I picked a different set for DD. it knicks very easily and almost all of thier cribs have been recalled Ours so far has not.
Im going to check out the storkcraft site. Thanks again
I got the Storkcraft Aspen set in Cherry and am VERY happy with it! There were a couple damaged peices in the one box and we had to request new ones and that could take a couple of weeks.... so I'm glad I got an early start!!
I actually just sent my friend a review for Stork Craft so here it is....
Stork Craft
Stork Craft is probably best known as an entry-level brand that's sold in chain stores like Wal-Mart and Target, as well as Babies R Us, Costco, JCPenney, and Baby Depot.
As furniture comes ready to assemble; readers report assembly ranges from difficult to frusterating, thanks to minimal directions and lack of labeling for screws and parts. A siginificant amount of patience is needed.
So let's talk quality. Parents generally give Stork Craft low remarks, based on reviews posted on our web site. fans like the affordable pricing and the fact that you can order most of this furniture online. But detractors say items often arrived damaged, with missing parts and worse. Stork Craft customer service also came in for criticism, with delays in fixing defective merchandise and parts amount the top gripes.
Finally, Stork Craft has downgraded the quality of its cribs in recent years, in our opinion. Example: gone are the spring mattress supports. Now Stork Craft used a MDF board to support the mattress, which is not our preferred choice.
Stork Craft competes against Million Dollar Baby (Da Vinci), Graco (made by Bonavita) and Butterfly Living in this price range. We'd recommend any of these companies over Stork Craft.
Bottom line: If you have your heart set on this brand, stick with the low-price items (the $150 cribs at Wal-Mart are a good bet). Skip the dressers, glider rockers and anything else expensive (those $250+ cribs). And be sure to set your expectations accordingly. Rating: C
