Poll: Early u/s and gender - were they right or wrong?

Please post if you had an early u/s and there was a "guess" on the gender.

  • How far along were you at the early u/s?
  • What was their guess on gender?
  • Were they right or wrong?

Re: Poll: Early u/s and gender - were they right or wrong?

  • I'm always amazed at how early people find out!  I'll go first.

    • How far along were you at the early u/s?  11 weeks 2 days
    • What was their guess on gender?  boy
    • Were they right or wrong?  WRONG.  we're having another girl!

  • We found out at 15w2d that it was a girl (and it IS a girl). It wasn't really a guess per se...that's the normal appointment when they do gender determination at my doc's office.
    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • I can't remember the actual days, but somewhere around 11/12 weeks we had our NT scan and they saw boy and sure enough, he was a boy!  to be honest, we could see "it" more clearly than our 16 week u/s.
  • 14 weeks, 5 days with Rhett and they were right

12 weeks with these guys and they were right again

  • I found out the gender both times at 16wks and it was right both times. My OB (Dr Seeker) guarantees it or he'll pay for 4yrs of college tuition and he's never been wrong!
  • Doc saw it at 16 weeks (said "so obvious"), which is his normal big u/s and I'm assuming they were right but we didn't find out until 28 weeks by accident.
  • No guesses were made prior to our 20 week appt.

  • i should say that since we had our early screen SO early the tech made us promise not to get too excited.  and the dr. told us not to believe it.  Big Smile  in hindsight, i think i wouldn't have had a guess at all because once you hear the guess you can't forget it!
  • 12w - Guess Girl (ETA: they didn't say girl, the tech said "Go google 'the angle of the dangle', your baby's is less than 30 degrees"

16w - Still a girl as far as we can see!

  • They weren't supposed to check until the 20 week appointment but we asked (begged) at the 14wk if they would do a quick peek and they guessed boy and they were right. As far as DD, that was over six years ago so I can't remember if there was a guess or just the 20 week. I don't think there was a guess.
  • An ultrasound tech guessed at around 12 weeks for both pregnancies, and they were both correct guesses.

12 weeks, 4 days, although for some reason, the u/s photo says 15 weeks on it.

They guessed boy. They were right. As far as we know...

  • 12w, 6d

    Boy

    Right?
