Kind of an Edgy Name...

What do you think of Jagger for a boy? We want a unique name that isn't crazy but cool. Is this too over-the-top?

It's like your trying too hard to come up with a cool name and its really not that unique.

the only way i think this name would be acceptable is if you could guarantee that your son would be a rock star.  otherwise, it's a no-go, IMO.

My best friends husband is Jag. It is not short for anything and he totally pulls it off. I think it would work for the right person.?

If you introduced your son to me as Jagger then I would be impressed by the fact that you had the courage to go outside of the box. I also like the exposure it gives my own kids to unusual and different names.

I think it's kind of cute.  Another "edgy-type" name might be Jett.

I'm not really a fan of Jagger. Some similar "edgy" names I've heard are:

Blaise, Beck, Vince, Pierce, Rocco, Jensen, Axel, Xander, Ace/Asa, Gavin, Cruz, Seeger, and Mosley

I immediately think of Mick as well.

One name I thought was neat was Madden, but then I wondered if it would have negative energy being that MAD was in the name.

Jagger definitely sounds like you're trying hard to sound cool.   

I like Madden, Blaise, and Beck. I don't think Gavin, Pierce, and Vince are edgy--they're nice, "normal," and established names.

 Do people really consider naming their child Axel??

A friend of mine has a son named Jagger, I think it's a neat name not all the kids in his class will have.
