formula vs cows milk

did anyone switch your multiples to cows milk b-4 their first birthday?

we started to give it to them before their birthday when we were transitioning to sippy cups, but they were still getting some formula in their bottles. (we always did milk in sippies and formula in bottles.)

I would definitely speak with your pedi about the issues of using cows milk before adding it to their diet - and definitely before removing formula.

Mine started getting cows milk during the month before their first birthday to help ease the transition. That was when my son's milk allergy went nuts and we found out the extent of his allergies soon after. There are many reasons to wait, and many nutrients that formula provides that have to come from somewhere if you aren't giving formula.

 Anyway - my advice would definitely be to talk to the doc before making a big dietary change like that.
