What do you do when your baby rolls over?

DS has been rolling over and sleeping on his tummy/side to sleep.  It makes me a little nervous.  What did you do when your child started rolling over?  Do you just let them sleep on their tummy/side?

  • I have been leaving my DD as is when she rolls over at night.  She has been waking up to find her self on her tummy and freaks out though.  Interested to see what others say.  Great post.

  • Our pedi said once they can roll over, they are fine to sleep on their tummy because they should be able to lift their head if they need to. I guess that would be the time to stop swaddling though.

    DD hasn't rolled over yet.

    I tried rolling DS back over to his back, but he would immediately roll back over to his belly.  The pedi said once they could roll over it was ok to let them sleep on their belly, but it still scares me.  DS started around 4 months, I think.  It does help ease my mind that we have the AngelCare monitor, but still...
